Hey Brian,

I remember years ago when I read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People book and thought it was so boring since it was so basic and obvious (although great principles to actually utilize). But, there was one principle in that book that had a profound impact on my perspective which I internalized and have realized a lot of value from over the years…

That is the principle of Production vs. Production Capability.

This principle is so so so so so so so so so so useful and can consistently cause most people to completely shift their logical conclusions on what is the best strategy or decision to pursue in important scenarios of their everyday life and goals.

Production being desired end results. Production Capability being one’s capability to produce desired results. The general perspective being that both can have major value and that they both should consistently be paid attention to and strategized against.

For example, will you make more sales next month by forcing yourself to pitch double the prospects or by invoking more passionate connection into your personal relationships so that your energy & confidence level up?

While most of the world is likely directly chasing “production” or desired end results most of the time. Optimal results will come from day trading between custom blends of production and production capability depending upon the unique people and scenarios in play.

Thought I’d share since it was a game changing tool for me long ago and is still paying large dividends today.
