Sure thing, I had a bit of time today to convey a little bit of insight to you…
For a very general & important framework of human achievement, I refer you to my results equation…
Results = Strategy x Action x Chance
But since we don’t control chance, you can primarily think of the simplistic version of…
Results = Strategy + Action
Most key components of human achievement can fit within this framework.
Results should be judged as outcomes, timeframes, & predictability, not just outcomes.
Strategy is all about finding effective mechanics/ideas/plans/solutions to produce the desired results.
Action is all about the effective implementation of your strategies, where ideally the action is in alignment 1:1 with the strategy.
So overall it is about finding more effective strategies (relative to where you are and will be) & putting more effective action into your initiative, according to your strategies (including the efforts of yourself & others) …in order to achieve greater levels of your desired outcomes, in shorter timeframes, with greater predictability.
There is a lot of leverage to be had within both strategy & action.
With strategy, the world is infinitely complex and there are almost always ways to get most all desired results. It is just true.
With action, we can improve our ability to take more effective action through personal development, and we can recruit massive amounts of other people to take action for our initiative’s benefit too, at verrying degrees of effectiveness.
You can apply this general framework to just about any desired result in life, whether business or otherwise.
Also, remember that there are two sides of the coin when it comes to all strategic pursuits of human achievement, which are ceasing opportunity & mitigating risk.
There is a ton I’ve learned along the way, primarily by being obsessively curious & philosophical about human nature & human achievement, as this is only the tip of the iceburg of the wisdom I’ve accumulated and have ended up a polymath today, and yet there is so much more, as life is infinitely complex. So I would say do something similar, by not only pursuing surface level answers for what you currently want, but truly understanding the underlying foundations of all the key areas of knowledge that meaningfully impact your choosen goals & strategies. Pursuing true mastery, and not accepting society’s typical standards, is very worthwhile.
I can say with huge certainty that there is outrageous opportunity in the world and in this country…likely even more than at any other period in history. I say this not for vague reasons, but based on the combined expertise I’ve built-up over the years in the areas of human nature, human achievement, business, investments, technology, & futurology.
If you are primarily looking for insight within business or wealth building, then on the surface I’d say the following…
- Get really good at marketing, including research & data driven strategy. It is probably most often the highest leverage component of buisness building.
- For maximum success, work to build businesses into real enterprises, not self-employed, small businesses. Employing an army is more effective than personally working hard in a small buisness. A large organization can replicate your entire life’s effort every single day. You’ll want some good management & finance skills for this.
- Deliver maximum value to your markets. Don’t only focus on making money, instead focus on delivering maximum value, as this is the primary cause of receiving maximum money.
- For maximum financial success, consider investments outside of traditional business. I’ve developed a wealth building philosophy that shows how to go beyond typical entrepreneurship.
- Get good with thinking about what I call OP Leverage…leveraging all the “other people’s” resources, like OPM (other people’s money), etc.
- Get good with thinking about structuring lean, scalable, & effective organizations of people & resources.
- Personally develop yourself to cease a lot of your personal potential for greatness. I’ve found the three biggest constraints for human achievement to typically be… low standards, lack of diligence, & fear of rejection.
This isn’t much, but just what I had on the top of my head today. I wish I had a comprehensive book writen out of the wisdom I’ve accumulated & distilled for myself, since I believe it would be profound for those wanting to pursue greatness in life. I’ve produced & distilled a lot in many specifc subjects primarily relating to human nature & human achievement, that I also operate my life by for maximum effectiveness. Sadly most of it is not documented or published. Only a small portion is published on my personal website.
FYI, I personally had a new & interesting shift in my mindset about a week ago. It may fundementally change the direction I take my life from here, although it will still likely involve the pursuit of meaningful wealth building & other things. I’m still processing this and deciding what I want to do, but it could change much of what my life has been dedicated towards. We’ll see…
Hope this quick email adds value for you!
