BAM!!! I love when big ideas just pop into my head! I got an awesome idea today that is going to be very cool if it goes as planned. I’m now shifting a lot of extra time towards its development. I want to release it along with my release of brianwatkins.com so I am putting a lot of effort in expediting the creation of the new site content. You’ll get to take in a big splash of me when I launch all of this at once!

I accomplished a lot today! Corporate Buyouts are constantly on my mind these days. If you talk to me, odds are I’m thinking about buyouts as I talk to you…sorry. I’m learning a lot about the process and can’t wait to execute a deal!

After some maintenance to my website this morning, I went to a park and read some more in my M&A book. I now have a lot of these books to get through over time. Later on, I restocked my place and had a meal at one of my favorite places.

I’ve developed some new content concepts for a future release of my personal website. I’m planning to launch these new content sections when I move the website over from brianwatkins.net to brianwatkins.com. It will still look the same but there will be more sections of content on the site that I’ve recently planned out. This will be awesome!

I also laid out by the pool today while I read my law book and launched a marketing campaign for my current partnership project.

Today I woke up bright and early and started tackling my new books. I’m going to use my dual book strategy and read two at a time right now. I may bump it up to three soon and throw in a for fun investment book. Right now I have started off by reading a beginner’s law book about how the American legal system works as well as a book about business acquisitions. I read about 100 pages total between the two today. I visited the water streets again, worked on my partnership offer, and visited the Las Vegas Strip for a meal and entertainment.

It seems like I am constantly receiving shipments! Today I received a ton of books that I ordered this past Saturday. These are some pretty heavy duty high corporate finance books that I ordered. I am really looking forward to diving into them! But first I need to go to sleep early today since I’m dead tired!

I got a lot of emails out this morning. I also ate breakfast at Denny’s while I typed away on my OQO Handtop. I then went to my favorite park by the water streets. There I read more from The Art of the Deal and worked on a partnership offer.

While having lunch at one of my favorite spots in the mall, I called my sister and she is doing great so far in her New York City talent competition. I then later met with an attorney to initiate the drafting of some relationship contracts. I am going to be marketing for a partnership in upcoming days. I’m big on backing up agreements and promises with legal contracts.

I really like my new checks. I branded them with a nice big B. It is the same B as my favicon for my personal website. I documented some legal notes for an attorney I am meeting with tomorrow regarding some contracts that I am having drafted up. I pulled out Donald Trump’s The Art of the Deal for a little inspirational reading. That combined with Gordon Gekko in Wall Street provides some nice branded motivation for this asset acquirer.

Today I decided that I really need to increase my knowledge on a lot of high-level corporate finance concepts. So what did I do? That’s right… I bought a lot of books! I went over to Amazon and purchased over $2,500 in books on various finance subjects. Since these are niche subjects and some are in school textbook form, a lot of these books are more expensive than your average paperback. One I bought was priced at $400 but I expect that it will be one of the best.

I’m not big on reading books but it is something I’ve got to do. I will be trading my regular time spent with business audio books for these new paper books.
