In my Daily Journal I keep you updated with how I am doing on a daily basis. Check back at the end of each day to see how my day went.
Let’s just say that Halloween is awesome in Vegas! I checked out a few places tonight with events going on and it was fun. I didn’t dress up in a costume this year. I don’t know if I’ll be living in Vegas next Halloween but I may come back and visit just for the fun. You gotta love Vegas.

Wow! I was absolutely on fire today! I got very connected to a short-term vision of success for myself. When you get into a state of mind like this, you can’t help but move! It looked like the day was going to be average but not so. I love it. Later I discovered the writings of a relative about his journey. This inspired me. I took this inspiration and hammered out a good amount of profound content for my upcoming Wealth Building Blog. Watch out business and investment world! I got something big here.

Wokeup early today and immediately started being productive. I planned out some things I will be doing the next couple weeks then hit the gym in the early morning. It is sometimes nice to go to the gym when barely anyone is there. I worked by chest, abs, and calves today. I have a 4 on, 1 off routine. My computer is feeling too slow so I purchased a new processor and more ram today in hopes that it won’t feel near as slow with the upgrade. I hate when a slow computer shows me down.

I developed a document that outlines my personal brand development through 2007. I love branding and especially personal branding. Some nice shifts will be coming! I can’t wait for my next one with brianwatkins.com. I also got one of my absolute best project ideas tonight! I am so so so excited about this one!
The inspiration derived from the Homebrew Computer Club helped me come up with this idea. I’m planning on creating my own club that will one day be famous. Not a computer club though. Something way more profound! I’ll let you in on it once I release brianwatkins.com later this year.

After pondering the recent $1.65BB YouTube acquisition by Google I thought for a long while, as I have before, about what is going to be the next big Web 2.0 success. I believe that I have found it. I believe I know what is going to be as big as MySpace or YouTube. It is too bad that I found a company who is already firmly pursuing this. Oh well. I’m still going to keep this in my conscious in case I get in a position to compete in this niche. This current Web 2.0 startup hasn’t reached a critical mass yet so the opportunity is still wide open. With something like this, I don’t want to go the VC route. Rather I will first succeed personally and startup to compete or look at buyout opportunities then resell to one of the internet giants. Web 2.0 has made some average people into hundred millionaires. So I certainly must be able to capitalize on it at some point.

Got up early today from all of that sleeping yesterday. I was in massive action mode today and started producing key documents as well as personal brand content today. I made a lot of progress and worked for a greater part of the day. I also hit the gym for a pump up.

Early in the morning I drove back from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. I had been up for a longtime so I made sure to pullover and sleep for a bit partway through the drive. When I got back to Vegas early in the morning today, I was exhausted and just felt like sleeping. So I took a shower and then slept for the rest of the day.

I took off from Vegas to Cali around 2am this morning to appear in court for a speeding ticket. On the way out there I listened to an audio book titled The Purpose Driven Life. I had higher expectations for this book than what I found in it. It seemed too basic and written for the masses. I got through most of the book and didn’t discover anything new. However, it did put me in a certain state of mind where a hack of mine on some of the book’s logic quickly developed further into the creation of an original perspective model to see life through. Here it is a quick hierarchy to show the heart of it…
Truth
Morals
Goals
Values
Actions
Several of these proprietary models have come to my mind throughout my life. I don’t have a solid idea yet of what the scope or application of this one would be. If I could see some of that then I might be able to hack it and disprove it or see that it is very powerful or defining in life. Let me know if you can figure this out.
When I got to the court I had to wait a little for it to open. I walked around to scope out the surrounding area for a bit. It was a nice area with a ton of palm trees. So I finally checked in and they asked if I wanted to see the judge today. Of course, I said…we have a few things to discuss. So they set the time for after noon. I had a few hours to kill so I checked out the city, its mountains, and read a book. While out I was walking into a building a guy randomly came up to me with a big smile and shook my hand saying “You look important and successful.” Hahaha! This made me laugh. I was in my power suit and my confidence was way up for court so I guess that inspired this dude to make a point of introducing himself and telling me about it. Funny. Confidence is definitely a big key.
Once I got back to the court I had to wait a little bit to see the judge. All of the cases before me were very quick and the judge just dictated the terms to the people. Now it is my turn. “Is your name Brian Watkins? Yes.” Notice he didn’t refer to me as the Extreme Entrepreneur. (Mistake #1) Then he asked me how I plead for driving 105 MPH. Not guilty. He then started to set my next court date. I interrupted the dude and demanded a trial by written declaration. He said I needed to come in to court for this. I said “No” and read him the specific California law that stated my right to a written trial. He eventually gave in and saw it my way. (Mistake #2) Then he told me I had to pay bail in the amount of $700. I said “No” and tried to show him the current California law that stated otherwise. He got defensive and refused to look at the current bail schedule I printed out. I decided to let him win on that point because it was only a couple hundred dollars difference. (Mistake #3) So overall the dude didn’t know he was dealing with the Extreme Entrepreneur and he wasn’t aware of the law. Overall our legal system is good but not yet close to where it can be. I find it fun though. Pretty similar to hacking computer code.
After that was over I decided to go to a more fun place, Los Angeles. I decided that I really like LA now. Its traffic is still crap but I love the setup of it. It seems like residential and commercial places are more mixed in than Vegas or other places. I think California is more like that in general. I really like that. It makes for more action around where people live and a more social feel to commercial areas. I explored several different areas like Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Santa Monica, etc. I really like LA a lot now and will definitely live here at some point in the future. Later on I drove back to Las Vegas at night. I was tired so I decided to pull over at one point and sleep for a couple hours. I got back to Vegas in the morning, toke a shower, and went to bed. Fun day. ![]()

After waking up late today I got to work on my legal strategy in preparation for my day in a California court tomorrow for a speeding ticket I got on my way out to Los Angeles. Normally I’d just take care of it by mail but when you are going over 100MPH they make you show up in court. I really like the culture of the legal system. It’s fun. From a civilian end I view it like a system about policy and persuasion. Although from a leadership perspective it is a vital control for the success of humanity. I prepared all of my documents and multiple approaches to deal with the system. My appear time is first thing in the morning so I’m going to be leaving Las Vegas soon (2am) for California. I’ll take my time this time. ![]()
