Whenever one pursues greatness in their life, in virtually any way, others will most certainly negatively judge them in doing so. Typically, it is higher quality, personally developed people who consciously do not engage in this unjustified & unproductive act of negatively judging people’s pursuits of greatness. In principle, some of the common psychological drivers behind this are selfishness & fear. Examples are gaining from another’s loss, making fun of someone, feeling insignificant due to another’s pursuit, and fearing the loss of connection with someone due to their pursuit. I’ve personally experienced quite a bit of this negative judgment & rejection throughout my life. However, this negative judgment has no meaning and one should develop themselves to not feel a negative emotional charge when this occurs. Pursuing greatness, despite other people’s negative judgments of you, is the right move to make.

I’ve observed a consistent pattern in people, including personally with myself, that, as one’s expertise increases in any subject matter, they primarily utilize technical qualifications of ideas and opportunities. The less expertise that one holds in a matter of life, the less they will qualify ideas and opportunities on a basis of technical variables. Instead, rookies buy much more into ideas and opportunities based much more on the general vision of what is proposed. I would say that it is true that pros do have better averages of success than rookies, overall, when it comes to buying into what they believe to be good ideas or opportunities in life. Each individual instance is unique and any rookie can be much more capable and successful than any pro. So what are you, a rookie or a pro? The truth is that virtually all of us are both rookies and pros. So tell me... What are you a rookie or pro at in life?

I believe people often think through the perception & consideration of other people. I’m especially talking about instances that don’t consciously or logically have anything to do with the people that we think though. We subconsciously relate our own thoughts to other people and essentially think through them, which can influence us and our behavior. So, obviously, a big distinction to make is that the people you think though and the way you think through them can either help you or hurt you in life. I think it accounts for a notable amount of influence over us day-to-day, where if we freed ourselves from this process or optimized it, our lives & behavior would begin to look differently. Who do you think through?

I’ve always had this sense of there being two different modes of thinking like what I’m about to talk about but until recently wasn’t able to clearly establish the logic between the two. Now, I know them as intuitive and sensory thinking. I believe this is a fundamental concept that accounts for many things in human beings. Intuitive thinking is all about focusing within yourself and your own imagination & intellect. Sensory thinking is all about observing what is going on outside yourself. We are always enabled and limited by our current mindset for thinking intuitively vs. sensory. We usually consistently gravitate towards one or the other types of thinking. Do you primarily have your head in the clouds or your ear to the ground?

We all are familiar with state of mind but what is it really? I've found it to be one of the most powerful things in our lives. So what is it? State of mind is a catchall snapshot of a person's total psychology. Many things can influence it at any given time. Your state of mind can vary to a large degree across the spectrum of effectiveness for producing a result. Whether you are having an off day for performance, a normal day, or are on fire, it is probably largely due to your state of mind. Our state of mind is an extremely profound part of what makes up our reality.
